SBI Investigation of Archdale Shooting Continues

The State Bureau of Investigation continues its investigation of the officer-involved shooting that occurred at an Archdale residence on Sunday evening.

The incident took place at 101 Mae Matilta Court, in Archdale. Officers from the Archdale Police Department responded to a 911 call detailing a domestic related situation and claimed shots had been fired. Archdale officers called for assistance from the High Point Police Department after arriving at the residence.

After a brief search, Bobby Troledge Norris, 53, of Archdale, was located behind the residence. An armed confrontation occurred and Norris was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four law enforcement officers were involved in the shooting. They have been identified as officer Tim Coats from the Archdale Police and officers Andrew Lanier, Zach Trotter and John Antignano from the High Point Police Department.

As with all officer involved shooting investigations, the investigative report will be delivered to the District Attorney’s office once complete.
