(GASTONIA, NC) — On Saturday, January 10, 2026, the Gastonia Police Department requested assistance from the NC SBI regarding an officer-involved shooting at 1406 Gaston Avenue involving two of its officers. The name of the individual who was killed is Derrick Manigault.     SBI investigators gathered evidence at the scene, and the investigation remains active. No further information is available at this time.
