FRANKLINTON POLICE AND SBI SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC IN SOLVING MURDER CASE

Raleigh, NC (September 23, 2019) – The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and the Franklinton Police Department are asking for assistance from the public in solving a murder that happened earlier this year.  There is a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Clarence Erwin Person, Jr.  Person was murdered on Friday, January 18, 2019, on Fairlane Avenue in Franklinton.  A member of the Person family will be available to speak with the media tomorrow (Tuesday).  Investigators with the Franklinton Police Department and the SBI will also be available to speak with the media on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the Franklinton Town Hall Annex located at 5 West Mason Street, Franklinton, NC.  Members of the media interested in attending, please send an email to agrube@ncsbi.gov.
