Washington County Business Searched and Owner Arrested on Drug Charges

PLYMOUTH – A Washington County business was searched earlier today and one owner arrested on multiple drug charges. Special agents from the Alcohol Law Enforcement's District II office were assisted in the search by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Plymouth Police Department.  

The search and subsequent arrest occurred at the Rose Café, located at 105 N. Washington Street, in Plymouth. The search warrant was the culmination of a narcotics investigation originating from numerous complaints of cocaine being sold from the business by its employees.

The search of the business resulted in the seizure of 18 dosage units of crack cocaine weighing approximately 4.3 grams. 

One of the owners, Corey Holley was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance activities, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1000 feet of a park, possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding traffic warrants from Pitt County. 

Holley was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he received a $32,000 secured bond.
