Stolen Cattle Investigation Results in Arrest

RALEIGH -- James Earl Holliday of Snow Camp was placed under arrest today by the State Bureau of Investigation and charged with embezzlement in reference to cattle stolen from a farm in Graham.

The SBI has been investigating the disappearance of 189 Black Angus cattle stolen from K-Farms on Crawford Road in Graham sometime between March and mid-April.

The stolen cattle are valued at $371,700.

Holliday is currently in the Alamance County Jail under a $50,000 bond.

The SBI is asking anyone who has recently purchased Black Angus cows from Holliday to contact the SBI Northern Piedmont District Office at (336) 256-1362.
