Crisis Negotiators

The Crisis Negotiation Team is comprised of approximately 30 agents responsible for responding to crisis situations in order to conduct negotiations with barricaded subjects and hostage takers with the goal of resolving those crisis situations peacefully. These responses may be part of ongoing SBI operations or in response to requests from local law enforcement.

Members of the Crisis Negotiation Team work with the Special Response Team, providing intelligence information obtained via negotiations that may be used for tactical purposes.
