Intelligence & Technical Services

The Intelligence and Technical Services Section is supervised by Special Agent in Charge William Carter.   This section is divided into three units.

The Intelligence Section consists of ten analysts and a senior analyst. The analysts work assigned crime categories and regions within North Carolina. They track crime patterns throughout the state and assist field personnel with active investigations.

The Technical Services Unit is comprised of a Criminal Specialist and two Special Agents. This unit supports field operations in conjunction with investigations.

The Hazardous Devices Unit consists of a Criminal Specialist and a Special Agent. Both agents are certified as bomb technicians. The Hazardous Devices Unit is nationally accredited and renders support state-wide.
