Case Records Management

The Records Section is under the supervision of Nathaniel McLean.

This section provides transcription services for Bureau agents, maintains investigative files, crime classification coding, and controls dissemination of SBI investigative reports.

The Records Section also coordinates the flow of vast amounts of investigative data and converts that information into the SBI case records database so that the information can be retrieved by Bureau personnel.

In addition, this section supports SBI agents in the documentation of investigative activity. Personnel within the unit maintain Bureau report writing standards by writing, compiling and publishing a report writing manual and then disseminating it to every field agent within the Bureau.
