Director Robin P. Pendergraft's Biography

Robin P. Pendergraft is the Director for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. Upon her appointment by Attorney General Roy Cooper, she was sworn in on June 8, 2001.

Prior to joining the SBI, Robin served as a Special Deputy Attorney General in the Law Enforcement Liaison Section of the Attorney General's Office. She has worked with the North Carolina Department of Justice since 1987. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and her law degree from Campbell University School of Law. Prior to working in the Attorney General's Office, she served as a research assistant to the Honorable J. William Copeland, Associate Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court and then continued her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Durham, North Carolina.
