Drug Interdiction

The SBI employs drug interdiction personnel in each of the eight field districts. Drug Interdiction investigations take place at airports, train stations, bus stations, and on highways. This is a method of identifying drug couriers and taking enforcement action to stem the flow of illegal drugs and the money used in drug transactions. Most districts have full-time drug interdiction task forces that operate on a daily basis while others conduct these operations when they receive information.
