Drug Enforcement

The State Bureau of Investigation maintains original jurisdiction over drug investigations. As a result, the Bureau has several drug enforcement initiatives aimed at stopping the flow of illegal drugs into and out of North Carolina. Often the SBI works in conjunction with other agencies such as the National Guard, DEA, FBI and Local Departments to fulfill this mission.
