Three Vance County Residents Charged with Drug Trafficking

The following information was provided in a press release composed by Lieutenant D. A. Hedgepeth, the Public Information Officer for the Henderson Police Department:

On Saturday, January 9, 2016, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit and the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant at 838 Eastside Drive, Henderson.  Officers seized 47 bricks (2350 dosage units) of heroin, a firearm, and U. S. currency.  The heroin seized in this matter had a street value of $23,500.

Vondell Tyshang Gregory, 27, of Henderson was charged with three counts of trafficking heroin, possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for keeping/selling a controlled substance.  Gregory was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $300,000 secured bond.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on January 19, 2016.

Anthony Languan Brame, of Henderson was charged with three counts of trafficking heroin and possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school.  Brame was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $260,000 secured bond.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on January 19, 2016.

Qwanisha Billenger, 24, of Henderson was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for keeping/selling a controlled substance.  Billenger was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $74,000 secured bond.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on January 19, 2016.
